What does it mean?
SMM7 is the seventh edition of the Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works. It provides a structured basis for describing and measuring building work. It may be named in a project’s tender documents, so the applicable document should be checked rather than assuming a different measurement standard. A calculator result does not replace its detailed rules.
In practice
A geometric concrete quantity may be a useful starting point, but the bill description, work classification and deductions must follow the measurement method specified for that particular project.
