What does it mean?
Measured works are work items quantified against an agreed measurement method. The quantity might be a length of wall, an area of finish, a volume of concrete or a count of components. Measurement rules determine what belongs in the description, which deductions apply and whether related operations are measured separately or deemed included.
In practice
A wall can be measured as 14.4 m² of masonry while the concrete in another item is measured in cubic metres. The same physical dimension does not imply the same pricing unit.
Keep in mind
For a project record, note the document reference, revision and agreed measurement or contractual basis beside the quantity. Keep assumed information visibly separate from confirmed information. If two parties use different definitions or inclusions, resolve that difference before comparing amounts.
